While all the portraits were displayed in the same frame, one of the portraits was particularly moldy. They were vacuumed using a HEPA filter vacuum with a brush micro attachment, then surface cleaned with cosmetic sponges. Each portrait was placed in a Mylar sleeve and then all placed in a folder to be returned.

The cover of this book was moldy and we got permission to remove the cover and re-case the book. We took before treatment photos in the fume hood to avoid getting mold transfer in the photo studio. I vacuumed the covers and all the pages as a precaution using a HEPA filter vacuum and brush micro attachment. There were spines adhered inside the covers to show potential book subscribers the binding style they could request. These were removed from the moldy cover and adhered into the new covers with V-hinges and wheat starch paste.
